The HSBC UK National Trophy Cyclocross returns to Irvine Beach Park in October 2019.
It’s Round Three of the HSBC UK National Trophy Cyclocross series which is a 6 round competition run throughout the UK and managed by British Cycling.
When & Where?
Over the weekend of 26th & 27th October 2019, Irvine Beach Park will host various events within different categories. The event was held in Irvine in 2018 and organisers and participants all agree that the facilities and terrain offered at Irvine are perfect for this event.
Details Of The Event
The event is organised by a group of volunteers from local cycling clubs who participate in cyclocross with Walkers Cycling Club based in Kilmaurs as the club registered with British Cycling as the organiser. Ayr Burners, Carrick Cycles and Fullarton Wheelers members all assist along with Ayrodynamic Tri club and various volunteers from as far away as Aberdeen and Mull turning up to help out.
Categories & Schedule
Round Three of the HSBC UK National Trophy Cyclocross series which is a 6 round competition run throughout the UK and managed by British Cycling. On the Saturday 26th Oct event there will be age category races to include –
- Under 14 Boys and Girls
- Under 16 Boys and Girls
- Over 40 Men and Women
- Over 50 Men and Women
- Over 60 Men and Women
On the Sunday 27th the event moves up a level to operate as a UCI (Union Cyclist International – International Governing body for cycling) Category 2 event for Under 23 Men and Women, Elite Women and Elite Men with international standings points being awarded.
