Background Information

Based in West Lothian and Central Scotland, the Alan Crookston Ceilidh Band are one of Scotland’s most sought after bands. Professional and with a wealth of experience, they bring lively Scottish Ceilidh music to any venue and play for all types of functions, from weddings, ceilidhs, 21st birthdays, and anything else you can think of!

The band have played in all corners of the country and have been fortunate enough to play at various festivals, including the Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival and the Mull Music Festival.

In 2015 the band were nominated for Dance Band of the Year at the MG Alba Trad Awards and had a track from their debut album nominated in the Celtic Radio Awards in America.

(In March 2019 the Strip the Willow track from the band’s follow up CD “Note Again” won the Best Folk / Singer-Songwriter Song in The Academia Music Awards).
